Too old to become a young talent (he was born in 49 in Liège), Alain Godefroid is the natural son of the Castafiore and Captain Haddock. Self-taught, his fingers have always pinched the pencil.
His artistic journey has always followed the "ligne claire" of the masters of the comic strip while allowing himself much freedom in order to never imprison himself in a genre.

Abstract or on the wire of the razor, no matter what the subject of his paintings is provided that his brushes are spontaneous and tell our chance to be free and alive.
From his many journeys, he brings us reinvented images from our beautiful planet, which we deal so badly with in order to share with us his fears of losing it.
To do that, he lets vagabond his brushes, without knowing what they have in mind until a shape, stain or a trait inspires them. They'll decide what they'll do with it. This freedom of improvisation which he granted until the last minute became essential.

He attaches great importance to know-how, but is the happiest of artists when his work is able to stir curiosity, provoke reflection or create emotion, while it is only the fruit of his imagination.
