Peter A J De Ridder

Peter A J De Ridder is an atypical artist who idiosyncratically wants to put his own stamp on art. By looking, trying but also by wanting to create what he feels or sees directly, he expresses himself in sometimes subtle sometimes hard lines, curved or just straight shapes and soft but also bright colors. By trying out as many styles as possible and applying different techniques, educating himself from books, scouring the internet for inspiration, following lesson packages and even attending academy for a few years, he gradually developed his own style. He draws inspiration from the things that surround him, from life itself and from his fantasy. Put all his works side by side and you get to see a kaleidoscope of so many different paintings, pencil drawings and charcoal treatments that you as a person think that these are creations by different artists. Yet they are all only the work of one man : “PeDRi” the logo with which he signs all his works. PeDRi is still evolving and it will be interesting to see where it takes us next.
