Emotions, experiences, feelings, impressions, state of mind, concerns, or even 'the void' ...
These are things you can find in someone's facial expression or in someone's 'being'.
Sometimes very subtle, sometimes very present....
Consciously and unconsciously I go into search mode. A continuous exploration that I express in form, composition, material and colour. Either in clay, bronze or Neolith.
Colour is largely connected and inherent to the manifestation of the sculpture.
My artistic expression stems from the desire to understand, analyse and create from the rich diversity of human input.
My creative process is an ongoing dialogue with the world around me, using my ability to learn and evolve.
Sometimes the impulses come from my deepest emotions and I try to create this inner world in a tangible form.
Personally, I like art where “power” springs from.
This form of art inspires, empowers and encourages people. It can include themes such as self-confidence, resilience, perseverance, freedom, justice.
This can be achieved through powerful dynamic posture, facial expression, body language, composition, texture or material.
I believe that by considering these elements and experimenting with different techniques, one can add strength to one's sculpture and create a profound emotional impact in those who experience it.
