Miners have always used a lamp for lighting in the mines. Simple candle, oil lamp, kerosene or electric lamp. Miners' lamps have evolved a lot to increase their efficiency but also and above all the safety due to firedamp. A very fine mesh that did not allow the flames to pass was imagined by Humphry Davy and George Stephenson. The miner's lamp then took the name of safety lamp. Drawing with colored pencils on A3 sheet.
