This painting is, of course, inspired by a painting by René Magritte. The idea of adapting it to the famous Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson dates back to 2010. I had made a digital version which had already greatly amused me.
I wanted to combine here a study of a seascape, a cloudy sky and, as usual, lots of fun.
For the record, the canvas is 100% home made and 80% from recycled material. Indeed, the wooden frame on which I stretch my canvas comes from an old shelf.
As visible in the video, sometimes, when you have your nose on the canvas, you do not see errors at the macroscopic level. Hence the interest of regularly getting up, taking a few steps back, changing the angle of view.
And start again, if necessary!
