As an artist born in Pakistan and now based in Antwerp, Belgium, my work reflects a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary expression. With a degree in sculpture from the National College of Arts in Lahore, I’ve cultivated a practice that focuses on sculpted wall art—pieces that are both commanding and immersive, designed to engage and captivate.
My process is rooted in abstraction, and I work instinctively, allowing the textures to emerge and evolve with each piece. I layer acrylics, modeling clay, and inks to create complex textures that interact with light in transformative ways. I aim for my pieces to command the space, capturing attention and evoking emotion. Using a bold yet neutral color palette, my work balances intensity with elegance, challenging viewers to pause and engage with the subtle nuances in texture and form.
Each piece I create is intended to be a standalone presence, powerful enough to define a room yet subtle in its allure. My goal is to invite a quiet contemplation, where light, form, and texture come together to evoke a lasting impression, a momentary stillness that resonates beyond the work itself.
